what are some good and affordable products that are not tested on animals? like shampoo and conditioners, moisturiser, makeup etc.. i live in australia so any local products would be good also... thanks!Hair /beauty products that are animal-friendly....?
The ones that I mainly use are

Redwin (Available at IGA, brilliant and really cheap)

Almay (Available at Priceline)

#Avon

Natures Organics, Hairdressers Formula, Tresemme are all availabe from Woolworths.

Also:-

# Method, Ecostore, # Seventh Generation, Earth Choice - Cleaning Products that are all available from Woolworths

There are more and more products displaying the ';no testing'; logo. Usually they are lesser known names, and they may be on higher or lower shelf so you have to look for them.

The main ones to steer clear of are Loreal, Garnier, Covergirl and Johnson%26amp;Johnson

The Ethical Consumer Guide is a great guide for those of us who live in Australia. You can print it out and take it shopping with you.Hair /beauty products that are animal-friendly....?
The Body Shop has a whole campaign against it, and they have everything. (Try their honey shampoo and conditioner--honey may sound gross, but it smells great!)

As well as Fruit Kicks, which is a cheap option I use all the time.

The website that I found a great help is the one below. Being an animal-lover, I research these things all the time! With this one, you can search products that do test on animals and products that don't.

The Most Important Things to Know About Healthy Hair Diet

The beauty of hair is a direct manifestation of internal health. How and what we eat determines our hair. It鈥檚 essential to get proper nutrients directly from the foods that we eat. Healthy hair diet is very important. Eating a healthy, balanced diet is necessary for the health and beauty of your hair! Great nutrition is the most effective way of getting awesome hair...

Paying attention to nutrition will help to beat bad hair days.

Having healthy hair requires well-balanced diets that incorporate proteins and vitamins B, C, E, A and K.

Hair instantly responds to the addition of protein rich foods such as meats, eggs, cheese, seeds and nuts.

Protein

Protein is the building block of hair. Hair is 88 percent protein. Protein will give the shaft of your hair more strength, and will reduce the probability of damage.

Vitamin B

The B vitamins are necessary for healthy hair. Lack of B vitamins can lead to oily hair conditions.

Sources: green vegetables, beans, sunflower seeds, nuts and peas.

Vitamin C

It strengthens the immune system, and assists in metabolizing B vitamins and amino acids into the body. Lack of vitamin C can cause dry hair.

Sources: oranges, lemons, limes, melons, berries, red peppers, kale, cauliflower, tomatoes and cucumbers.

Vitamin A

Vitamin A is important for the health of your scalp. A lack of it can lead to dry hair.

Sources: carrots, sweet potatos, squash, broccoli, cantaloupe or apricot.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E provides lots of benefits for growing vibrant hair.

Sources: avocado, rice bran, nuts, dark green vegetables, legume and whole grains.

Vitamin K

Vitamin K helps to maintain healthy hair

Sources: seafood, dairy food, fig, brewer yeast, asparagus, broccoli, lettuce, cabbage, dark green leafy vegetables, egg yolk, oatmeal, rye, soybean, liver, wheat and yogurt.

Iron

Healthy hair needs iron in the body. Iron is needed to help carry oxygen to the hair. Without enough iron, hair gets starved for oxygen.

Sources: eggs, fish, liver, oysters, meat, poultry, whole grains, green leafy vegetables and blackstrap molasses.

Magnesium

Magnesium deficiencies lead to hair problems.

Sources: meat, fish, fruit, nuts, brewer鈥檚 yeast, whole grains and green-leafy vegetables.

Copper

Copper is needed for hair structure and is involved in the pigmentation of hair.

Sources: milk, bread and green vegetables.

Zinc

A lack of zinc can lead to hair loss. Zinc is necessary for building hair protein.

Sources: oysters, peas, pulses, haricot beans, butter and kidney.

Water

Water is important for hair. Water makes up one-fourth of the weight of a strand of hair. Moisture makes the hair supple and helps keep your hair silky and shiny. Eight to ten glasses of water a day are absolutely necessary to nourish healthy hair.

Essential Fats (EFAs)

Healthy hair also needs two essential fatty acids, omega-3 and omega-6, that are not produced naturally by the human body.

Omega-3 fats sources: flax oil, algae, cold-water fish, dark-green vegetables, hemp oil and pumpkin seed oil

Omega-6 fats sources: borage, evening primrose oil, safflower oil, sunflower seeds, hemp seeds, corn and pumpkin seeds.

Cold-pressed vegetable oils are also essential to a hair healthy diet. Lack of these oils causes dull, lifeless hair along with parched, rough skin.

To supplement your diet, you should consider taking a daily vitamin-mineral supplement formulated for hair.

Foods and bad habits that harm your hair

Eating dead food can lead to lifeless hair. These are sugars, chocolate, cakes, cookies, starches, soft drinks, and snacks.

Caffeine, alcohol, nicotine and recreational drugs destroy important hair growing nutrients. What hair beauty products should i use for long, damaged hair?

well i've been useing panten pro v shampoo and condtioner
Matrix Brand Revitalizer and shampoo, you can get it at most salons
You will not get ';pantene ad'; hair without styling and the correct products. Start by using a repairing and moisturising range of products, try ';absolut repair'; range by L'oreal Professional (only available in salons ) that will help re-hydrate and repair your hair, and regular trims, every 6 weeks will definitely get you on the road to long sleek shinny hair, to get the straight look, you will need a blow-dryer and straightening irons. Good Luck...
I have long hair to my waist. Make sure you get it trimmed every 6 to 8 weeks. Just a trim. Also try using KMS, Jocobi (I believe is the name) or even Bio Silk products. If you cut your hair every 6 to 8 weeks you are keeping up your hair and avoiding those pesky split ends. If you use heat on your hair for styling use a leave in conditioner. This will protect hair. Also, you shouldn't wash your hair everyday because you wash out your natural oils in your hair that help keep your hair healthy. Yes do brush 100 xs a day. Start from the scalp and go down. Part you hair when doing this. This will bring those oils to the tips to protect them. Hope this helps

Cosmetologist
u shud put Henna on ur hair...it will do magic for ur hair
garnier fructis sleek %26amp; shine i love it get the shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, leave in conditoner and the frizz serum use them all -in that order- as the directions say youll love it trust me
srtt
first get a good trim .......well any conditioners will be good but u can use the one meant 4r dry %26amp; damaged hair(garnier has one)...%26amp; regarding shampoos use a mild one .........u should also oil ur hair regularly
I've had long hair and short hair...and many compliments throughout my life on my hair. The best thing you can do for your hair is brush it. Use a natural bristle brush and brush it (best with your head upside down) for at least 10 minutes every day. Hair must be dry when you brush. This stimulation is good for the blood and the scalp and will do more to make your hair shine and grow and be healthy than almost anything else you can apply to it. I know it works.....try it!
Personally I love rusk sensories. I would use their shampoo and conditioner as well as a twice weekly deep conditioner.

Can Hair/Beauty Products Set Off Sensors? those ones at the door?

Okay before you get suspicious of you asking me this I can explain lol! Well my big sister is always showing

up at home from drugstores like CVS, Rite-Aid %26amp; Walgreens with new hair, beauty and cosmetics products that

I KNOW for a fact that she didn't buy because she has no job and has no way of getting a hold of any money

plus everytime she comes home she has no bags or recepit so it's pretty obvious that she's shoplifting the

items and I'm wondering like HOW is she getting away with it? Don't they have sensors or something that will

go off when she tries to walk out the door? What about that barcode thing? Can Hair/Beauty Products Set Off Sensors? those ones at the door?
May be she has got a boyfriend who pays the bills.

No, usually only big ticket items have the magnetic stickers on them such as the little plastic strip you see on the inside of a DVD you buy at the store.

The only thing they have for small items such as that are video cameras and watchful employees.

I can't say for sure as I don't know where you live, but I can say in FL most small items like that are not going to have any security tags on them. Higher dollar items will have a tag put on by the store. Barcodes have nothing to do with security. I can also tell you that most companies have policies in effect that allow employees to do nothing except follow a shoplifter. They can not accuse, or apprehend. The most they can do is call 911 and report robbery in progress. Sad but true. All this does is drive up prices for the rest of us.Can Hair/Beauty Products Set Off Sensors? those ones at the door?
no, not alot of them do. they don't put them on every product cos its too expensive and time consuming. shes obviously wise to this and is stealing the unsencored stuff.

    1. she could pill off the barcode if its a sticker on scratch it off

    2. she could stick it in areas ( underwear// bar etc )

    3. when it beeps she could run like hell

she probably peels of the tag and sticks it in her purse. that way, the sensors dont go off.

Clutter!!!! How to organize hair & beauty products in bedroom...?

I have sooo many hair %26amp; beauty products and make up on my dresser and dresser shelf. (Im currently using a caboodle case and baskets for my make up). I am moving into a new apartment in July, and I don't want my new bedroom to look all cluttery especially if I get a nice, new bedroom set! How do you organize stuff like that? I mostly do my hair %26amp; make up in my bedroom, so that's why it all accumulates there on my dresser. (That's where my big mirror is! :) What advice can you give on how to organize all these bottles, spray cans, lotions, glosses, creams, %26amp; etc...you get the idea! Should I invest in a vanity? Should my make up go into little drawers? Any help would be great! Thanks all!Clutter!!!! How to organize hair %26amp; beauty products in bedroom...?
First, throw away the products that you do not use and that may be beyond their expiration date (as we tend to keep makeup too long sometimes). That may eliminate a lot of it. To organize the rest, try purchasing drawer organizers and store everything in the top dresser drawer. Try to cut down your products so that everything fits in one drawer.Clutter!!!! How to organize hair %26amp; beauty products in bedroom...?
First of all lay out all the clutter e.g makeup and go through them all and see how often you use each product. so if you use a type of makeup reguarly put it in a box labelled keep and the others you dont use or need throw away.

i would then get a vanity and have one drawer for makeup

the others for sprays or if you do not have enough money for a vanity i would buy a jewellery box and a big makeup bag for all makeup and i would put all sprays and lotions neatly on a shelf

    hope i helped xxx
Buy some sterilite storage drawers like this

    http://www.sterilite.com/Category.html?S鈥?/a>

    Or this

    http://www.sterilite.com/Category.html?S鈥?/a>

These are easy to find items at your local wal-mart, kmart, or target.
well id sort thru them to see what ill really use. then id keep them in a basket in the cabinet in the bathroom next to the cleaning supplies. if u organize, it helps a lot. if u have money for a vanity, might as well.
first go through all your stuff and make sure you need it all.

What are some either hair or beauty products that are kinda cool.

I would love to acheive the messy/wavy/beachy hair look and also really sleek straight hair. Are there any products that would do that. I was thinking something from Bed Head??

Same thing for beauty products. Is there something you think is just really cool and works really well? What are some cool hair/beauty products?
MOUSSE!What are some cool hair/beauty products?
Well to me, Bed Head is just over-priced got2b.

It's not awful though! But it's not my favorite, instead

    smells really good, get that!

unless they have a magnetic tag on them she can walk right through and no one will notice. more than likely she hides herself in some corner where there are no mirrors or camera or people around and very unnoticeably slips it into her purse. Can Hair/Beauty Products Set Off Sensors? those ones at the door?
For the alarm to go off it needs the magnetic tag, which is either a little sticker on the can or product. Unless its an expensive product or a product that is well known to be stolen it probably won't have a sensor.
